All Geeni devices are compatible with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks.
Geeni products are designed to work with your home Wi-Fi network. Your Geeni devices will not work with a mobile phone hotspot.
2.4 GHz is better than 5GHz for smart products because it provides longer coverage and [goes through] walls more effectively.

"Function is perfect. 2. 4ghz network only. Reset buttons (needed to add the switch to the App) are discretely at the bottom of the switch so resetting the unit requires no tools! Electrically you must have a neutral wire in the box. Also the switches are rather deep with five connections to make. Live, SW1, SW2, Neutral, Ground. I was able to fit a switch into a standard 1 gang box but just barely with wire nuts. Consider having slim Wago connectors instead of wire nuts. I'd recommend you inspect your existing work boxes to ensure there's room for all the connectors plus the depth of the switch unit, and verify the neutral is in the box. In the App the switches show up separately which is nice for diagnosing issues (which I had none). These are in addition to over a dozen other Geeni products we have in the home. Value for money I'd highly recommend these."
"I purchased the Geeni Tap Wireless Switch and kept delaying installation as I had never installed a wifi enabled switch. The install was very easy and I had immediate connection to the Geeni app. Installation and connection took no more than 20 minutes and that included taking out the old switch. ."

With the Geeni app, I easily created a rule to turn on the floodlights with my back porch light. The downside is that the Geeni switches are white, which clashed with my existing ivory wall plates. While the functionality is excellent, if you're particular about aesthetics, be aware that these switches might not seamlessly blend in. Setting up the app was a breeze, and overall, I'm happy with the purchase despite the minor visual difference. However, if you prioritize a completely uniform look, you might want to consider other options"
