Great but with connection issues.

"I love the quality and picture of the camera both in day and night. I don’t use the motion feature so no review on that. One thing that I have an issue with is connection. I have connected it to 2 different routers and an extender and it will not stay connected. I even moved my router closer so it’s currently 12 feet away from my router and it still will not stay connected. I have to turn it off and then back on for it to connect and even then it stays connected for many 10 min before losing connection. Not sure if anybody else has this issue or if it’s just my camera but it is a huge pain. I have a ton of other cameras and lights from geeni and haven’t had any issues with them."

Great Camera but does not work with Alexa!!!

"Great picture and video quality. Surprisingly the Wi-Fi signal is excellent. From the router to the camera is 130 feet and the signal is still 89%-93%. Only drawback and probably the reason I’ll return, ALEXA does not work with the Hawk! It says it does on the box and even pictured on their website that shows a Echo Show being used. The Skill states it only work with smart bulbs and switches. If there is a separate Alexa Skill for the camera there is no direction. So frustrating!!!"

Sensitivity issue!

"Geeni Night Hawk is about a week old sense installation. Installation was easy. Connecting to internet was a little bit of an issue. App and camera required 2.4 g connection. I had to change my iPhone SE to 2.4g network just to install the security camera. Once installed, I changed my iPhone back to 5g setting with no changes needed to camera. Next issue! Adjusting motion settings. You have 3 options: low, medium or high. You can also drag and crop alert area. This would be great, but I cannot get my road in front of the house out of the alert area without losing my driveway (which I must have). Setting alerts to high gives way to many ( cars on the road) and medium does not alert to cars coming up the driveway. Other than that works as expected."

Set up is difficult

"difficult to set up, not very user friendly and online help was not much help. still can get the unit to work. I think the unit it self is good, the software is a problem."

Good news, bad news

"Good news — great picture quality and simple installation. Bad news — motion detection at night while camera is using night vision infra-red is appalingly terrible. Motion detection alerts are constantly logged, even though there is absolutely no motion occurring."

Q&A

it keeps say constructing encryption channel and it shows the still shots when the motion is on, but no video? I have a smart wi-fi outdoor camera Hawk
