Geeni products require an existing home Wi-Fi network for setup and use, a smart device (phone or tablet), and the Geeni App which allows you to monitor and control all of your Geeni devices in one place.
All Geeni devices are compatible with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks.
Geeni products are designed to work with your home Wi-Fi network. Your Geeni devices will not work with a mobile phone hotspot.
2.4 GHz is better than 5GHz for smart products because it provides longer coverage and [goes through] walls more effectively.
A subscription is not required for any Geeni product. Cameras have the option to use a microSD card slot for local video storage, and a cloud subscription is optional, but not required.
Many other brands require a hub to control their devices, but with Geeni, no hub is required. All of our products are plug-and-play. Simply plug in your device and it is ready to use!

"It dosen't work to far away from the router. We needed something to let us know when the temperature got down to 5 degrees. This doesn't go down that far. Looks like something you would get at the five and dime store. It works great in the next room. My router puts out 1 gig. Everything in the front yard and back work great this just doesn't have the range capabilities."

"I have 2 standard humidity units in my home that match within 1%. The two geeni units don’t match to these units being lower by 6 to 9% lower. In addition my two geeni units don’t match each other with a difference of of 4 to 5% between each other. I see no way to adjust. However on a positive note the temperature portions of the geeni units match within a degree and do adequately compare to my standard units"
